Just before they leave, Nino's boss, Dr. Zanchi (Armando Tine), asks him to deliver a package to Calamo mob boss Don Vincenzo (Ugo Attanasio). The family arrives in Calamo where Martha, because of her blond hair, is not greeted warmly. Nino delivers the package to Don Vincenzo who, in turn, asks Nino to do him a favor of carrying out a hit–and Nino realizes that this is a request that he will not be allowed to refuse. Now the visit really turns sour.

American (Stuart Whitman) and British (James Fox) flyers vie not only to win the race but also to win the same girl (Sarah Miles). Lots of fun.

Her solution is to have a slave girl (also played by Loren) pretend to be the Queen. A silly, sex farce.

Newlyweds Wanda (Brunella Bovo) and Ivan (Leopoldo Trieste) arrive in Rome for a visit, which involves introducing Wanda to the family and visiting the Pope. While the serious Ivan naps, the adventurous Wanda leaves to see her idol, the "White Sheik" Fernando Rivoli (Alberto Sordi), a photo comic-strip hero. Before long, she is whisked off to be in an episode while her husband makes excuses to his relatives for her absence. But The White Sheik isn't the hero of her dreams that she had thought in this light comedy that marks Fellini's first solo directorial effort.
