Homer dumps the pig's waste in the lake–an act that results in getting the attention of E.P.A. head Russ Cargill (voice of Albert Brooks) who convinces President Schwarzenegger (voice of Harry Shearer) to have a plastic dome placed over Springfield. Now, it is up to Homer to save Springfield.

While conducting a symphony, Claude plots the method he will use to get revenge by murdering Daniella. But, the plan he dreams up turns out to be difficult to carry out, and the humor of his bungling becomes the name of the game.
