In this made-for-TV film, wealthy Tony Wendice (Christopher Plummer) arranges to have his wife Margot (Angie Dickinson) murdered. But, Margot fights off her attempted murderer and kills him. When Tony tells the police that it was a case of premeditated murder, Margot is found guilty and sentenced to hang. Now, it is up to police Inspector Hubbard (Anthony Quayle) to get to the bottom of the mystery and save Margot's life. Director Boris Sagal uses some of Alfred Hitchcock's touches and makes this film enjoyable.
