Artemisia Gentileschi (Valentina Cervi) (1593-1652) was the daughter of the painter Orazio Gentileschi (Michel Serrault), and she became a Baroque artist in her own right. This biography deals with Artemisia's early years as an apprentice and the rape trial that resulted from her affair with her teacher, Angostino Tassi (Miki Manojlovic).
