  Casual dating relationships along with the pitfalls involved is the theme of this film. The story loosely follows the plot of David Mamet's play about sexual perversity in Chicago where Danny (Rob Lowe) and his coworker Bernie (James Belushi) spend their evenings at a local bar. One night, Danny becomes involved with Debbie (Demi Moore) who he ends up moving in with–for awhile, until they both find that domestication is not for them.

  This made-for-TV film is based on the true story of Marita Lorenz (Gabrielle Anwar), a Latin American, who, in 1959 at the age of 19, got the attention of Cuba's new leader, Fidel Castro (Joe Mantegna), became pregnant, was disillusioned with the leader, and ended up in a NYC hospital after passing out. She had been poisoned in an effort to abort her baby and was subsequently rescued by the U.S. Now, 22 years later, she is persuaded to return to Cuba to assassinate Castro.
