  Based on Alex Garland's bestseller, this thriller is set on an island beach off Thailand. Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio) finds a map that leads to what purports to be an island paradise. It isn't long before he and his companions–Etienne (Guillaume Canet) and Francoise (Virginie Ledoyen)–are headed to what they believe will be a tourist utopia. Surprises await them.

  This film is based on the true story of U.S. Navy Lieutenant Dieter Dengler's (Christian Bale) first mission over North Vietnam in 1966. When he is shot down and captured by Laotian troops, Dieter admits that he is an American, is tortured, and taken to a POW camp where he meets veterans of the camp–Americans Lt. Duane Martin (Steve Zahn) and Eugene DeBruin (Jeremy Davies)–who have been prisoners for two years. Now, Dieter plans a death defying escape in which he will lead fellow POWs through the jungles of Laos in a race to freedom.

Later, Tun discovers that his latest photographs have mysterious shadows on them and believes that he is being haunted by the ghost of the woman killed that night on the road. But, is that who it really is?
