Bored with his new lifestyle, Kale begins to put together surveillance equipment to spy on the neighbors and is joined by new-girl-in-the-neighborhood Ashley (Sarah Roemer) and his friend Ronnie (Aaron Yoo). Kale discovers that things in the neighborhood are not as they appear, and one who stands out from the rest is Mr. Turner (David Morse) who has made friends with Kale's mother, Julie (Carrie-Anne Moss).
