The three of them go to Justin's seedy motel room where they are getting high when Justin's father Krug (Garret Dillahunt), his Uncle Francis (Aaron Paul), and their friend Sadie (Riki Lindhome) appear on the scene after committing a double murder. They take the girls and Justin out in the woods where they murder Paige, and Krug rapes Mari and leaves her for dead. It is a stormy night, and Krug, Sadie, Francis, and Justin find shelter at the Collingwood home. Lightning strikes, and they have lost power when Mari arrives home. When they learn what happened to Mari, Emma and John take on the savage behavior of the strangers they took into their home and plot revenge on their "guests."
