Each season of this series revolves around a particular 24-hour period in the life of CIA agent Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) when he and his elite team deal with espionage conflicts as they prevent assassination attempts, terrorism, and nuclear weapon threats from enemies of the United States?all the while dealing with family problems that manage to arise at the same time.
